This set of 4 handcrafted coasters features original artwork of various centuries-old symbols of the Blessed Virgin Mary surrounded by titles from the Litany of Loreto, all set against a striking slate background.  Very nice for home or office to show your love for Our Lady and pride in your Catholic Faith, also great as gifts.  The decals are printed in vibrant colors, then applied to the slate medallion, and finally sealed with multiple coats of acrylic sealer to provide waterproofing.  Each piece measures approximately 4" in diameter -- big enough for even a very large coffee mug.  Four foam feet keep your tables from getting scratched.

Four different images (one of each included in each set):

• Fleur-de-Lys:  Usually thought of only as a symbol of France, the fleur-de-lys is a mediaeval depiction of an iris or 'sword-lily', one of Our Lady's symbols, showing both her purity and her sorrows.
• Immaculate Conception:  The mediaeval monogram for 'Maria' topped with a crown for 'Queen of Heaven'.
• Mater Dolorosa:  The symbol of the winged heart pierced with a sword dates back to the 1st Century and depicts the prophecy of Simeon:  "And thy own soul, a sword shall pierce..."
• Mystical Rose:  Another symbol dating back to at least mediaeval times, just as the rose is usually considered the most precious flower in gardens on earth, so Mary is the most beautiful flower in the Heavenly Garden.

Care:  Wipe spills immediately by hand.  Do not place under running water or submerge.  Also be careful not to drop, as it is possible for the slate to crack if it falls with enough force.
