St. Thomas Aquinas (1226-1274), a Doctor of the Church, also known as the Angelic Doctor, is the patron of schools, colleges, universities, students, philosophers, and theologians.  He was a great scholar and left us many important writings on philosophy and theology which are remarkably clear and easy to understand, as well as beautiful prayers and hymns.  We have included one of those prayers on the back of this holy card.  It begins:  Most loving Lord, grant me a steadfast heart which no unworthy desire may drag downwards; grant me an unconquered heart which no hardship may wear out; grant me an upright heart which no worthless purpose may ensnare.

St. Thomas Aquinas' feast day is on March 7th in the traditional calendar, or January 28th in the new.

Size: 2.5" x 4", approx.

Printed on white cardstock.
