The Heart of the Three Little Offices - Little Offices of Saint Joseph, Immaculate Conception, and Sacred Heart

Just like Saint Joseph was obedient to the Holy Angels' instructions to prepare him for his vocation; we too, can be attentive to working with our holy Guardian Angels to fulfill our vocation as oblates.  Everything done in the company with one's Guardian Angel is a joy and one looks forward to it!  In the life of Saint Joseph we see that God always comes first.  He is our model in the Holy Rule of Saint Benedict and ever attentive to the counsel of the Guardian Angels , we can happily proclaim:  We Belong To God!!!

This pocket-sized book begins with five chapters on the Commentary for Benedictine Oblates on the Rule of St. Benedict, shown in the intimate life of St. Joseph working with the Holy Angels. His life as Spouse of Mary, Guardian,  and Father of the Child Jesus encourages us to  -- Go To Joseph.  His Fidelity to God's Grace asked the Blessed Virgin Mary to be his teacher in the virtuous life and to love God so much more.  Thus in the life of St. Joseph we draw closer to the Patroness of America, the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God who invites us to listen to the pulsations of the Heart of Her Son, Jesus.

The Three Little Offices of Saint Joseph,  the Immaculate Conception and  the Sacred Heart of Jesus are from the 18th century.  They are in both Latin and English translation, presented side by side.  At the beginning of each Little Office we have added vintage images that will inspire you to follow the Holy Family in the recitation of the dear Psalms. A Dictionary of words used was added for those who may not be oblates and desire to sanctify Sundays.  In keeping with making old ways new again, Saint Joseph's Press added a variety of ancient and traditional prayers honoring Saint Joseph, sprinkled throughout this prayer book.
