Saint Adelaide lived in the 10th century and ruled the Holy Roman Empire along with her husband, Otto I.  During her life she established many churches and monasteries.

During our Silver Jubilee Year we bring you pious examples of God's family, the Saints.

God gave us pious examples of two Catholic Queens and Empresses of the Holy Roman Empire for our edification.  One, Saint Adelaide, lived in the 900's and is known as the Patroness of large familes, brides, widows, prisoners, and more.  Her station in life was used for God's interest as in our own day, our Faith must be a living Faith with actions, not just words.  Zita of Austria had the spirit of St. Adelaide and both of them lived by My Weight is my Love.  Crosses came to them like a thunderstorm most of their noble lives and they entered into it for Divine Love.
