The Apostle of the Holy Name of Jesus, Saint Bernadine of Siena, a Franciscan friar who lived during the 15th century, found the Goodness of God by way of the Holy Name of Jesus in the Epistles of Saint Paul.  He set forth preaching, in the market places of Italy, to stop the incessant feuding and fighting among all classes and replace it with the Peace of God.

Christogram, IHS, is the banner of protection against three enemies: the world, the flesh, and the devil.  The Holy Name of Jesus is found throughout Scripture and the Psalms as a safeguard for Christians.
