Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a way to repay Our Lord for the love He pours out for us and to make reparation for the indifference with which His love is often met.  The custom of making a Holy Hour began with St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century when Our Lord asked her to make one every Thursday night in remembrance of the original holy hour in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Each adoration card contains the text of the Adoro Te by St. Thomas Aquinas and a place for you to inscribe the name of the person for whom you made the Holy Hour and the date.  This variation also includes the following quote from St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori: The sovereigns of the earth do no always grant audience readily; on the contrary, the King of Heaven, hidden under the eucharistic veils, is ready to receive anyone...
