Handmade Wooden Catholic Symbol Cookie, Pastry, and Bread Stamp
The history of Catholic bread stamps dates back to the Byzantine Empire, before the end of the seventh century. Each baker stamped his bread with a symbol to identify it, and those who brought their bread to be baked in the ovens could identify their loaf and ceremonial bread on feast days.
We offer these handmade hardwood stamps featuring a Catholic symbol to honor God in your baking by imprinting it onto your cookies, pastries, and breads.
Handcrafted in the Heart of America by a young traditional Catholic craftsman, each with a unique symbol such as the Celtic Cross, Chi Rho, Crown and capital M in honor of the Blessed Mother, and Trinity symbol.
Care: Immediately after use wash with hot water and dish soap. Do not leave submerged in water. Dry completely before storing. Periodically lightly sand and apply a foodsafe oil, such as tung oil or raw linseed oil.
