Blessed Virgin Mary Prayer Card - Blue Border

In honor of Our Blessed Mother Mary, we created this holy card during her birthday month of September.  This version features a vintage image surrounded by a blue border of an angel and a child placing flowers before a statue of Our Lady.  On the back is a prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary composed by Pope Pius XII

Treasure of Tenderness Holy Card

This holy card features an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary from a vintage French holy card titled the Treasure of Tenderness.  On the back is the Hail Mary prayer followed by a prayer invoking Mary through her Immaculate Conception for purity and holiness.

A great doctor of the Church, St. Anselm, stated, "It was just that this holy Virgin should be adorned with the greatest purity which can be conceived after that of God Himself, since God the Father was to give her, as her Child, that only-begotten Son, whom He loved as Himself, as being begotten to Him from His own bosom; and this in such a manner that the selfsame Son of God was, by nature, the Son of both God the Father and this blessed Virgin.  This same Son chose her to be substantially His Mother, and the Holy Ghost willed that in her womb He would operate the conception and birth of Him from whom He Himself proceeded."

The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the patroness of the United States of America and we know from St. Anselm's words and that of the Archangel Gabriel's greeting to her clearly showed Mary was full of grace and without sin - she was Holy Purity herself.  It is to her as the Immaculate Conception that we pray for the virtue of Holy Purity and to preserve us from mortal sin, which Our Lady again repeated the importance of when she visited the three children at Fatima in 1917 and warned against sins of the flesh.

Why the Rosary?  The Blessed Virgin Mary gives us 15 good reasons why in the Rosary Promises she gave to St. Dominic and Bl. Alan de la Roche to share with her children.  This holy card has a small image of Our Lady of the Rosary on the front and the text of all 15 Rosary Promises printed in their entirety spanning front and back.  Perfect size to place in your missal or prayer book to keep them always close by and remind yourself of them.
