The Little Office of Baltimore - Manual of Prayers - 1888
The Little Office of Baltimore is our American Catholic roots that were sowed in Baltimore and has its Imprimatur 1888. The Plenary Council that gave us the Baltimore Catechism which brought so many Catholics to the fullness of the faith; also the Third Plenary Council of Baltimore gave us a manual of prayers. The compiler of these sources has affectionately named it The Little Office of Baltimore. This compiler also supplemented with an English translation of the Roman breviary by the Marquis de Bute (Imprimatur 1903).

We share with you the wisdom of Dom Gueranger, 19th century Benedictine Abbot we read in the Holy Rule of St. Benedictine, Chapter 18: "The Psalms express the deepest, most varied and most delicate sentiments of the human heart and answer all its needs. They served the Saints of all ages and as we follow Jesus in fasting for 40 days , we will be nourished at a Feast on the thoughts of His Heart.
